CAROLINE ALLEN PHOTOGRAPHY

  My name is Caroline Allen, and I am a 19 year old lifestyle photographer located in Nashville and Memphis, TN.     

   

        Photography has been an outlet for me since before I can remember, but my passion turned into a business when I was thirteen. During my eighth grade year I got the opportunity to live in Gulu, a small town in Northern Uganda. My family moved there to work with an organization, International Justice Mission, which fights for widow's land rights and against domestic violence. I was gifted a camera right before the move and an ex-pat family in Gulu heard that I loved photography. They reached out and asked if I could shoot some family photos for a newsletter they had to send home. After that initial shoot, I ended up shooting almost every ex-pat family in Gulu. Caroline Allen Photography was born.

    Since moving back, I've gotten to capture many more families, seniors, couples, and everything in between. I'm so lucky to have been asked such a coincidental request that developed into a true passion, and one that has given me so many opportunities later in life. I hope that you choose to have me capture whatever bit of life you feel is important. 

 

    I have recently begun my freshman year at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. This means my business now operates out of two cities, not one. This also means I get to meet and photograph even more amazing people and places! If I'm not taking photos, I am probably forcing my friends to try my new cookie recipe or watching too many episodes of Gilmore Girls. I've also been known to drink a pack of La Croixs in a single day. You're welcome to bring some to the session.
